Sky Candy partnered with the Portland Timbers to create an exclusive FPV drone video – offering fans an immersive tour of their beloved stadium.
Our goal was to capture the essence of the Timbers’ home ground, from the electric atmosphere of the stands to the behind-the-scenes areas like the locker room, delivering a comprehensive and engaging experience for viewers.

Our drone expertly navigated the impressive stadium, showcasing the architectural features and meticulously maintained playing field that make it such an iconic venue. As we soared through the stands, the footage captured the excitement and passion that define the Timbers’ fanbase – evoking the energy of game day even in an empty stadium.
Venturing into the locker room, the drone provided a rare glimpse into the players’ sanctuary, revealing the preparations and rituals that take place before they step onto the field.
FPV flight made the impossible tour possible. The drone moved through the bowl at human scale to read architecture and stand energy, threaded into the locker room without breaking the journey, then back out across the playing field – every transition designed to keep viewers inside one connected venue experience. Camera language balanced speed with measured reveals a stadium of this character deserves.
Filming an exterior-to-interior stadium fly-through with locker-room access required tight coordination with the Timbers organization and Providence Park operations. The route was planned in advance to flow smoothly across very different lighting environments – bowl, concourse, locker room – and the FPV piloting was rehearsed so the final ride feels seamless even though it crosses multiple venue zones.
Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification and follow written checklists, site-specific risk reviews, and visual-observer protocols on every flight. Indoor stadium FPV requires confirmed airspace, coordination with venue and team operations, and visual observers staged along the route – managed with the fast camera language the FPV approach demands.
