PROJECT OVERVIEW
MINNESOTA FOOTBALL || ONE-TAKE FPV GAMEDAY
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Sky Candy Studios produced a one-take FPV gameday film for Minnesota Football – a single continuous flight that captures the energy of a college Saturday from the street to the stadium. The drone sweeps down a packed campus party street, weaves through fans walking to kickoff, and lifts into the stadium for the final reveal.
No cuts. No edits. Just one ride from pregame to gameday – the kind of perspective only FPV can deliver.

FPV captures what other cameras can’t – the perspective of a fan moving through the day. The shot starts on the street: tailgates, packed houses, fans pouring onto sidewalks heading toward the stadium. The drone threads through the crowd at eye level, lifts over the energy, finds the venue, and crosses into the bowl in one continuous take.
Every beat is choreographed so the camera reads as both observer and participant, letting viewers feel the day rather than just watch it.
One-take FPV is all about choreography. The flight path was scouted in advance – the lane down the party street, the gaps between fans, the cleanest approach to the stadium – and then executed in a single live run. Tight turns to capture energy, lifts over the crowd to set place, and a final acceleration into the venue to deliver the payoff. The film is built on FPV’s signature strength: scale, motion, and zero-cut continuity.
Filming on a packed college party street demands tight coordination. We worked with University of Minnesota staff and event security to align the shoot window with peak game-day energy without disrupting the crowd. The full route – sidewalks, lifts, and stadium entry – was rehearsed in advance and mapped to maximize visible energy while keeping flight buffers safe around people and property.
Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification and follow written checklists, site-specific risk reviews, and visual-observer protocols on every flight. FPV work in crowded environments demands tight risk management: radio-link integrity, return-to-home planning, and clear sightlines for spotters. Setups included sub-250g FPV rigs for crowd proximity and heavier platforms for the stadium reveal.
The final cut delivers a one-take gameday hype film built for social and broadcast use – a fan’s-eye journey from street to stadium that captures the full energy of a Minnesota Football Saturday in a single uninterrupted ride. Built for in-stadium replay, social media teasers, and pregame promotion.
