Sky Candy collaborated with Madison Square Garden, the world-renowned sports and entertainment arena, to create an enthralling FPV drone video as the venue prepared for a highly anticipated New York Knicks game.
Our goal was to capture the energy, excitement, and meticulous attention to detail that goes into transforming this iconic stadium into the perfect stage for professional basketball.

Our drone navigated the expansive Madison Square Garden with ease, unveiling the fascinating process of setting up the court, adjusting the lighting, and preparing the seating area for eager fans. The footage provided viewers with a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of the dedicated team responsible for ensuring every aspect of the game-day experience is executed flawlessly.
As the drone soared through the arena, it conveyed the palpable anticipation and electric atmosphere that build up in the moments before the players take the court.
FPV flight made an arena setup sequence feel cinematic. The drone moved through the bowl at human scale to read the people and process behind the court setup, then lifted for wider reveals to set place. Camera language balanced tight, behind-the-scenes detail with the scale of one of the most iconic arenas in sports.
Filming inside Madison Square Garden during active pre-game setup required tight coordination with MSG operations and Knicks production teams. Flight paths were planned around the court-build crew, lighting rigging, and seating prep – all while preserving safe buffers around equipment, staff, and the floor itself. Timing was sequenced to capture the build-up authentically without interrupting the work.
Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification and follow written checklists, site-specific risk reviews, and visual-observer protocols on every flight. Indoor FPV at MSG requires confirmed airspace, coordination with venue and team operations, and visual observers staged along the route – all managed with the fast camera language the FPV approach demands.
