As avid Cubs fans and drone enthusiasts at Sky Candy, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to create an FPV drone video of the iconic Wrigley Field in honor of fan appreciation. Armed with our drone, we embarked on a breathtaking aerial journey to showcase not only the legendary stadium but also the vibrant surrounding neighborhoods.
The goal was simple: capture the spirit of this incredible community and the love we all share for the Cubs.

Taking off from the bustling streets, our drone soared through the air, offering a unique perspective of the Wrigleyville neighborhood. The vivid colors of the rooftops and the friendly waves of fellow Cubs fans filled the screen, emphasizing the passion that binds us together.
As the drone approached the stadium, the excitement only grew. Weaving in and out of the stadium’s architectural gems, it was impossible not to feel a connection to the rich history of the Cubs.
FPV flight let the story unfold as a connected tour – taking off from the streets of Wrigleyville, lifting over the rooftops, threading the stadium’s architectural details, and landing on the field. Camera language balanced fast FPV passes for neighborhood energy with measured reveals for Wrigley Field’s iconic architecture.
Filming around Wrigley Field and the Wrigleyville neighborhood required tight coordination with the Cubs organization and local property teams. The route was planned in advance to flow from street level into stadium-adjacent space and culminate on the field – sequenced to capture authentic neighborhood energy without disrupting fans or game-day operations.
Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification and follow written checklists, site-specific risk reviews, and visual-observer protocols on every flight. Urban + stadium FPV work demands tight risk management – building proximity, traffic, crowd buffers, and radio-link integrity throughout the route.
