Sky Candy collaborated with Sun Country Airlines for an extraordinary FPV drone video – taking viewers on a captivating journey through their airplane hangar and the interior of one of their aircraft.
The mission was to showcase the attention to detail, commitment to safety, and excellent customer experience that Sun Country is known for, all while delivering an engaging and immersive visual story.

Our drone skillfully navigated the expansive airplane hangar, revealing the dedicated team of professionals and state-of-the-art equipment responsible for maintaining and preparing Sun Country’s fleet for safe and efficient travel. The footage captured the intricate processes and rigorous inspections that ensure every aircraft is ready for takeoff.
As the drone entered the cabin, viewers were treated to an exclusive look at the comfortable, inviting interiors that make Sun Country a preferred choice for travelers.
FPV flight is what made this story tellable. The drone moved through the expansive hangar at human scale to read the people and equipment, then threaded into the aircraft cabin without breaking momentum. Camera language stays close enough to read texture and detail while keeping the route fluid – every transition designed to keep viewers inside one continuous experience.
Filming inside an active aviation maintenance hangar and then continuing into an aircraft cabin required tight coordination with Sun Country operations. Flight paths were planned around real maintenance activity, equipment, and aircraft access. Indoor flight in an aviation environment demands strict airspace management, clear sightlines for spotters, and managed proximity to crew, aircraft, and tooling.
Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification and follow written checklists, site-specific risk reviews, and visual-observer protocols on every flight. Indoor FPV in an aviation hangar is one of the more demanding environments we operate in – radio-link integrity, return-to-home planning, and tight coordination with airline operations all critical to a successful shoot.
